 LOI - LETTER OF INTENT

A letter of intent is a document outlining the understanding between two or more parties which they intend to formalize in a legally binding agreement. The concept is similar to a heads of agreement, term sheet or memorandum of understanding. 

 ICPO - IRREVOCABLE CORPORATE PURCHASE ORDER

Irrevocable corporate purchase order ICPO-A document similar to a letter of intent (LOI) used by companies to communicate their intent to enter into a transaction with a foreign-based company and provide verification of purchasing terms, banking information, and company financials . 

SBLC MT760 - STANDBY LETTER OF CREDIT

 A Standby Letter of Credit (SBLC) is a guarantee that is made by a bank on behalf of a client, which ensures payment will be made even if their client cannot fulfil the payment. 

RWA-RISK-WEIGHTED-ASSETS

  Risk-Weighted Assets, or RWA, are used to link the minimum amount of capital that banks must have, with the risk profile of the bank's lending activities (and other assets). 

BCL-BANK COMFORT LETTER

   Bank Comfort Letter. It is a letter issued from the buyer's financial institution to the vendor. This letter states that the buyer has sufficient funds to cover the cost of the order. A financial institution comfort letter is one of the first pieces of documentation that a prospective buyer must provide toa vendor in order to negotiate a deal. It is not an agreement to pay the vendor anything, nor does it make the financial institution liable in any way.  

DLC MT700 - DOCUMENTARY LETTER OF CREDIT

 A Documentary Letter of Credit (DLC) is where the buyer under an international sales contract procures his bank to issue an irrevocable credit in favour of the seller to pay an agreed sum of money against tender by the seller of the shipping documents.  

PB 2% - PERFORMANCE BOND 2%

 A Performance Bond 2% (PB 2%)  Performance bond is a surety bond that guarantees that a contract will be fulfilled in the manner agreed upon at its conception.
